Community & Voting Guidelines
Public nickname rules, one account per person and fair crowd voting. No prizes, no stakes.
How crowd voting works
Members can vote on upcoming matches — home win, draw or away win, and over or under 2.5 goals — before kick-off. Votes lock at kick-off and are graded after the final whistle. The leaderboard compares members with each other and with our model. It exists for fun and for comparing judgement.
Voting is free and involves no stake, entry fee or prize, so it is not a bet, a contest of chance or a sweepstake. If we ever run a competition with prizes, it will have its own official rules, eligibility limits and "no purchase necessary" terms where the law requires them.
What is public
Only your public nickname and your leaderboard results are shown to other people. Your name and email address are never shown. Aggregated crowd percentages for a match do not identify anyone.
Public nickname rules
Your nickname must not:
- be someone else's real name or impersonate a real person, club, journalist, tipster, bookmaker or FootballPlazza staff
- contain personal data such as phone numbers, email addresses or home addresses (including your own)
- be offensive, hateful, discriminatory, sexual, threatening or about violence or self-harm
- advertise anything, include links or promote betting offers, tipster services or other websites
We may change or reset nicknames that break these rules, and repeated breaches can lead to suspension.
One account per person
Each person may have one account. Creating extra accounts to vote more than once, to test strategies or to push someone up or down the leaderboard is not allowed.
No vote manipulation
- Do not use bots, scripts or automated tools to vote.
- Do not coordinate with others to manipulate rankings, or buy, sell or swap accounts.
- Do not exploit bugs, such as voting after kick-off — report them to [contactEmail — set in Administration] instead.
We may remove votes, reset scores, remove members from the leaderboard and suspend accounts that break these rules.
Leaving the community
You can stop voting at any time. If you delete your account, your nickname and votes are deleted or irreversibly anonymised, as described in the Privacy Policy.
