Prediction Disclaimer

What our probabilities mean, their limits, how we report results honestly, and why they are not betting advice.

What the numbers are

FootballPlazza's predictions are probabilities produced by statistical models trained on historical match data and, where available, context such as team news, line-ups and market prices supplied by Sportmonks. A probability describes how often we would expect an outcome over many similar matches; it does not tell you what will happen in a single match. How the models work is described on the Model & data page.

Not betting, financial or legal advice

Nothing on FootballPlazza is betting advice, a tip, financial or investment advice, legal advice or a recommendation to place any bet. We do not know your circumstances, and we are not licensed to give financial or gambling advice. Any decision you make is your own responsibility. Whether betting is legal for you depends on where you are; see Responsible Gambling.

No guarantees of winnings

We never claim that a forecast is certain, "sure", "fixed", a "lock" or "risk-free", and you should distrust anyone who does. No membership, forecast, value indicator or parlay guarantees any profit. Over time, betting at a bookmaker's prices loses money for most people, because every price includes the bookmaker's margin.

Limits you should know about

  • Data can be late, incomplete or wrong, and late team news (injuries, rotation, weather) may not be reflected.
  • Models simplify football. They can be overconfident or miss things a human would see.
  • The "most likely score" is usually still unlikely; the single most likely score often has a probability below 15%.
  • Small samples, new managers, promoted teams and unusual fixtures make forecasts less reliable.
  • Forecasts can change before kick-off as new information arrives.

How we report results

The Results page compares the forecasts we recorded before kick-off with the final scores and grades every published forecast, the wrong ones as well as the right ones. We do not delete or hide losing forecasts, and we do not change a forecast after kick-off. Accuracy figures depend on the period, leagues and markets you select, so a good run in one view does not mean the model is reliable in another.

Past performance does not predict or guarantee future results. Any figure about hit rates or returns describes the past only.

Daily parlay record

The daily parlay is built by our model and frozen before the first kick-off of the day; it cannot be changed afterwards. Once every match has ended it is published, won or lost, and the public record counts every parlay — wins, losses, void parlays and days without one — together with the average predicted chance (so you can compare it with the actual win rate) and the return per unit staked at the best price among the bookmakers we track.

A single bookmaker usually offers lower prices than the best of several, and its margin applies to every leg, so your own results would normally be worse than the record shows. Parlays win rarely and lose money on average.

Bookmaker prices, "value" and the value finder

Bookmaker prices are supplied through Sportmonks and may be delayed, differ from the price you are offered, or be withdrawn. A "value" signal or edge in the value finder only means that our model's probability is higher than the probability implied by a price. It is analysis, not advice and not a promise of profit: the model may be wrong, prices move, and bookmakers include a margin in their prices.

Crowd votes

Crowd voting results show the opinions of members, not our forecasts or advice.
