Terms of Service
The agreement between you and the operator of FootballPlazza when you use the site, with or without an account.
Who we are and what these terms cover
FootballPlazza (footballplazza.com) is a brand and trading name of Tech Improvement Inc, a business registered in Pennsylvania, United States, with its address at Philadelphia, Pennsylvania ("we", "us", "our"). FootballPlazza is not a separate company: when you use FootballPlazza, your agreement is with Tech Improvement Inc. Our full details are in the Legal Notice.
These Terms of Service apply whenever you visit FootballPlazza, create an account or buy a membership. By using FootballPlazza you accept them. Together with the following documents they form the agreement between you and us:
- Subscription & Billing Terms and the Cancellation & Refund Policy for paid memberships
- Prediction Disclaimer and Responsible Gambling
- Acceptable Use Policy and Community & Voting Guidelines
- Email & Notification Preferences, including your consent to receive notices electronically
- Advertising, Affiliate & AI Disclosure, Trademark & Non-Affiliation Notice and Copyright & DMCA Policy
How we handle personal data is explained in the Privacy Policy, the US State Privacy Notice and the Cookie Policy.
Key points
- FootballPlazza is for adults: you must be 18 or older, and 21 or older where the law where you live sets that age for sports betting.
- Our predictions are statistical estimates, not guarantees, tips or advice. Forecasts are often wrong, and we publish the losses as well as the wins.
- We are not a bookmaker. We take no bets, hold no money for betting and do not operate under a gambling licence. Whether betting is legal where you are is for you to check.
- Paid memberships renew automatically until you cancel, and you can cancel online at any time on the Membership page.
- These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and applicable United States federal law, but if you are a consumer you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the place where you live.
This summary helps you find the important parts; the full terms below apply.
Who can use FootballPlazza
You may use FootballPlazza only if:
- you are at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher
- you are at least 21 years old if you live where 21 is the minimum age for sports betting or gambling (this includes most US states that allow sports betting), because parts of FootballPlazza discuss betting markets and prices
- using a football statistics and prediction service is lawful where you are
- you are not barred by sanctions (see "Sanctions and export controls" below)
FootballPlazza is not directed at children. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to register, and we close any account we learn belongs to someone under 18.
When you register you confirm that you meet these requirements. Each account is for one person. Use your real name or a name you are known by, and an email address you control. You may not create an account if we have previously closed one of your accounts for breaking these terms.
What FootballPlazza provides
FootballPlazza publishes football data, statistics and statistical forecasts for the football leagues and cups listed on the site (including the Premier League, LaLiga, Bundesliga, Serie A and Ligue 1). Fixtures, results, statistics, line-ups and bookmaker prices come from our data supplier, Sportmonks (see Data Sources & Attribution). Forecasts, market estimates, the value finder and the daily parlay are produced by our own statistical models.
- Without a paid membership you can browse fixtures, tables and results, and see predictions for the next three matches to kick off.
- Paid memberships unlock more predictions, markets and tools, as described on the Membership page at the time you buy.
We are not a bookmaker or gambling operator
FootballPlazza is an information and entertainment service. We are not a bookmaker, betting exchange or gambling operator. We do not accept bets or wagers, hold or transfer money for betting, run games of chance or pay out winnings. Because we offer no gambling of any kind, FootballPlazza does not operate under a gambling licence.
We have no commercial relationship with any bookmaker. We are not paid for showing their names or prices, we do not link to their betting pages, and we never offer betting bonuses, free bets or other inducements to gamble. Bookmaker prices are shown only for comparison and analysis; see the Advertising, Affiliate & AI Disclosure.
Betting laws where you are
Laws on sports betting differ widely. In the United States, sports betting is legal only in some states, only with operators licensed in that state and usually only for people aged 21 or over. Other countries have their own licences, age limits and rules, and some prohibit sports betting, or betting with operators that are not licensed there.
You are responsible for knowing and following the laws that apply to you. Nothing on FootballPlazza means that betting is legal where you are, or encourages you to bet with any operator. If you choose to bet, use only operators licensed where you are, and read Responsible Gambling.
Predictions are estimates, not guarantees
Every probability, likely score, market estimate, "value" indicator and daily parlay is an estimate made by a statistical model from incomplete information. Football is uncertain and forecasts are often wrong: even a well-calibrated 70% forecast fails about three times in ten. We never promise or guarantee any result, profit or winnings, and nothing on FootballPlazza is betting, financial, investment or legal advice.
The Results page grades the forecasts we recorded before kick-off against the final scores, including every forecast that was wrong, and the daily parlay record counts every losing parlay. Past performance does not predict or guarantee future results. Please read the Prediction Disclaimer.
You alone decide what to do with information from FootballPlazza. If you bet, you do so at your own risk and only with money you can afford to lose.
Your account and its security
Keep your password private and do not use it anywhere else. We recommend turning on two-factor sign-in in your account.
- Do not share your account or let anyone else sign in with it.
- Tell us straight away at [contactEmail — set in Administration] if you think someone else has used your account.
- You can see and sign out your active sessions in your account at any time.
We may suspend an account temporarily to protect you or the service, for example after suspicious sign-in activity.
Paid memberships and automatic renewal
Paid memberships are subscriptions that renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. Before you pay, checkout shows the price, the billing period and the renewal terms and asks you to agree to them. You can cancel online at any time on the Membership page: cancelling stops future renewals, and your plan continues until the end of the period you have paid for.
Prices, renewal, plan changes and cancellation are governed by the Subscription & Billing Terms. Your rights to withdraw and to refunds are explained in the Cancellation & Refund Policy.
Electronic communications
By creating an account or buying a membership, you agree that we may provide these terms, notices, disclosures, receipts and other communications to you electronically — on the website or by email to the address on your account — and that they satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing. You can withdraw this consent by closing your account. How to do that, and how to ask for a paper copy, is explained in Email & Notification Preferences.
How you may use FootballPlazza
We give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use FootballPlazza for your own non-commercial purposes while these terms apply.
You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. In particular you may not scrape the site or use automated tools, resell or republish our predictions or data, share your account, or try to get around membership limits.
Our content and intellectual property
The FootballPlazza website, name and logo, design, software, models, forecasts, written content and databases belong to Tech Improvement Inc or our licensors and are protected by copyright, database, trademark and other laws. Football data is licensed to us by Sportmonks and may only be used as these terms allow. Apart from the limited right to use FootballPlazza described above, no rights are granted to you.
League, competition and club names, logos and badges belong to their owners and are used only to identify competitions and teams. FootballPlazza is independent and is not endorsed by, sponsored by or affiliated with any league, club, governing body, data supplier or bookmaker; see the Trademark & Non-Affiliation Notice.
Content you add and feedback
Some features let you add content, such as a public nickname and crowd votes. You keep any rights you have in that content and give us a free, worldwide licence to store, display and use it to run FootballPlazza (for example, to show your nickname and score on the leaderboard). The licence ends when the content is deleted, except where it has been anonymised in aggregated statistics.
You are responsible for what you add. It must follow the Community & Voting Guidelines. We may remove content that breaks these terms or the law.
If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them to improve FootballPlazza without any obligation to you.
Third-party services, data and links
FootballPlazza relies on third-party services, such as Stripe for payments, Sportmonks for football data and, only if you allow it, Google Analytics. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to what they do. FootballPlazza also links to websites we do not control, such as help organisations. We are not responsible for third-party websites, products or content, and a link is not an endorsement.
Third-party data such as fixtures, line-ups, statistics and prices can be late, incomplete or wrong. We work to show it accurately but cannot guarantee it; see Data Sources & Attribution.
Availability and changes to the service
We work to keep FootballPlazza available and accurate, but we cannot promise that it will always be available or error-free, or that data will always be complete or on time. Data supplier outages, maintenance and events outside our control can affect the service.
We may improve, change or remove features. If a change significantly reduces what a paid membership includes, we will tell you in advance and you may cancel before the change takes effect; if the law gives you further rights, such as a price reduction, those rights apply.
Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FootballPlazza and all its content, data, forecasts and features are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy and uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not warrant that any forecast will be correct or that using FootballPlazza will lead to any particular result.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranties to be excluded, so some of these exclusions may not apply to you. If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, digital content and services must by law be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality, and nothing in these terms affects those rights.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we (including our owners, employees, contractors and suppliers) are not liable for:
- any bet, wager, trade or financial decision you make, or any money you lose or fail to win, whether or not you used our forecasts
- indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill or opportunity
- losses caused by third-party data, services or websites, or by events outside our reasonable control, such as supplier outages, internet failures, natural disasters or acts of government
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims relating to FootballPlazza or these terms is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for FootballPlazza in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim and (b) US$50.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, such as liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for gross negligence or wilful misconduct where the law does not allow it. If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill, and the limits above apply only as far as the law where you live allows.
Your responsibility to us (indemnity)
To the extent the law allows, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tech Improvement Inc and its owners, employees and contractors against claims brought by third parties, and the resulting losses, damages and reasonable costs (including reasonable legal fees), that arise from your breach of these terms, your misuse of FootballPlazza, content you add or your violation of any law or the rights of others. This does not apply to the extent a loss was caused by our own breach or fault, or where the law where you live does not allow consumers to give such an indemnity.
Sanctions and export controls
FootballPlazza is operated from the United States. You may not use FootballPlazza, and we may refuse or end service, if you are located in, organised in or ordinarily resident in a country or region subject to comprehensive United States sanctions (see the lists published by the US Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control), or if you are named on, or owned or controlled by someone named on, a US, United Nations, European Union or United Kingdom sanctions or restricted-party list. Our payment provider may also refuse payments connected with sanctioned places or people. You must not use FootballPlazza in breach of export-control or sanctions laws.
Ending this agreement
You can stop using FootballPlazza at any time and delete your account yourself under Account → Privacy & data. Deleting your account cancels any subscription immediately; see the Cancellation & Refund Policy.
We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if we must do so by law, or to protect other users or the service. Where reasonable we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond. If we close the service entirely, or close your account when you have not broken these terms, we will refund any unused prepaid period.
Sections that by their nature should continue after the agreement ends (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity and governing law) continue to apply.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when we add features or when the law changes. The version and effective date are shown at the top of each policy. We will tell signed-in members about material changes in advance — in the app and, if you chose to receive policy updates by email, by email — normally at least 14 days before they take effect, unless a change is needed sooner for legal or security reasons. Changes do not apply to events before they take effect.
If you do not agree with a change, you can cancel your membership before it takes effect. If you keep using FootballPlazza after that, the updated terms apply.
Governing law and courts
These terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or FootballPlazza, are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to the next paragraph, disputes must be brought exclusively before the state courts located in Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania, or the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and you and we consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
If you are a consumer, these terms do not take away any protection you have under the mandatory laws of the country or US state where you live. In particular, if you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you can rely on the mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country and may bring proceedings in the courts of the country (or, in the UK, the part of the UK) where you live, and we may bring proceedings against you only there. Consumers elsewhere keep any similar rights their local law gives them.
The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
Resolving problems
Please contact us first at [contactEmail — set in Administration] so that we can try to resolve any problem quickly and informally.
If we cannot resolve it, you can contact a consumer authority. Pennsylvania residents can contact the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General, Bureau of Consumer Protection (attorneygeneral.gov). California residents can contact the Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs, 1625 North Market Blvd., Suite N 112, Sacramento, CA 95834, telephone (800) 952-5210. Consumers in the European Union or the United Kingdom may be able to use an alternative dispute resolution body or their national consumer authority.
